The Master’s aims to respond to the clear need for specialised training of the Valencian Community, characterised by strong international dynamism of its companies, and by the large presence of citizens from the European Union and other backgrounds whose language needs translators are deemed to satisfy. Another fact that reinforces the scientific and professional interest of the degree is the incorporation in the curriculum of translation activities or functions of translation increasingly demanded by the social and business environment. We refer to the modes of audiovisual translation (subtitling, dubbing and voice-over), as well as captioning for the deaf and audio description. The Master’s is posed with a double orientation (professional and academic-investigator profile) and with two possible specialisations (English-Spanish or French-Spanish).

Both aspects, like all the merits that the candidate claims on his curriculum, will be certified in a documentary form and if the Admission Committee deems it appropriate, through a personal interview.
