Critical Care Nursing

This course combines online learning with trainee master courses to prepare registered nurses to serve as expert critical care clinicians in many health care settings. Students develop specialised knowledge and thoroughly sought after skills to progress their career (such as leadership, research and teaching roles) also to discover and support the unique characteristics of the critical care patient people. The UTS: Health teaching team have many combined years of medical care, teaching and research experience. They have been research-active and subscribe to professional organisations in the state and national levels. Furthermore, clinical experts (e.g. clinical nurse consultants, nurse practitioners, clinical nurse educators and allied health professionals) subscribe to instruction, making sure this can be a highly relevant contemporary post graduate course. This course builds on students' existing features with a particular focus on critical thinking, ethical and social responsibility, Native cultural esteem, communication, integrity and professionalism. Career options include specialization care nursing.

• UTS recognised bachelor degree, or equivalent or higher qualification, or filed other evidence of general and professional credentials which shows possibility to pursue graduate studies. Applicants must hold current registration as a nurse in Australia. Registered nurses who don't need an undergraduate diploma or degree but do have recent relevant work experience could also be considered eligible. Applicants should possess concurrent job in, or usage of, the clinical area of study and a year of post-registration clinical experience. The English proficiency requirement for local applicants with international credentials is: Academic IELTS: 6.5 overall with a writing score of 6.0
