This course provides students with the knowledge to deliver spaces which improve the quality of experience and life of occupants. Students will tackle home planning projects in practical studio settings and participate in independent and collaborative problem solving. They are going to be supported with contemporary, relevant teaching and also a focus on new and emergent fields including small and large scale design in virtual and real environments, digital and physical experimentation, body/space connections, and design for both health insurance and social improvement. During the course they'll conceptualise and develop their designs through expertise in spatial thinking and thorough resolution, using versions, full-length material constructs and electronic animations. Many interior designers function independently or in both small and massive practices. Other people elect to perform in multidisciplinary firms specialising in large scale architectural and property development projects, both locally and internationally. Alternative livelihood areas consist of retail, and theatre and event design, and exhibition design, such as in gallery or museum settings.
Design Institute of Australia. The Bachelor of Design (Interior Architecture) does not exude qualifications in Architecture and the Queensland Architects Act (2002) limits the utilization of the name? Architect? To professionals filed by the Board of Architects of Queensland.
