Development assessment and building certification have come to be a portion of local administration's main pursuits. The planning system has become increasingly complex requiring increased degrees of skills and knowledge to those employed in the sector. People from the wide range of technical and professional backgrounds work in development assessment, and many lack specialist trained within the area. To meet diverse individual requirements, the UTS Centre for Local Government is rolling out a unique, high quality graduate certification course that integrates skilled professional development and technical subjects. The basis of this course is its own flexibility. It permits participants to organize a individual study plan that fulfills the specific requirements of their job, career and other obligations. Most issues may be studied through intensive block manner and, sometimes, by space. The course blends practical and research components, and is designed for those seeking to become leaders within the field of development assessment. It complements an initial degree or TAFE qualification in planning, building surveying or other associated fields.

  • Previous qualifications in structure, building or intending. If the Prior qualification Isn't in these fields, applicants require a Certificate IV in Planning or the Statement of Attainment in Building Assessment. Applicants need to provide: an individual statement
  • The Graduate Certificate in Development Assessment
  • A CV articulating local government industry related assist the absolute minimum of 2 years' experience. Applicants who don't own such grad qualifications must possess 5 years' professional experience in structure, building, preparation or local government and demonstrate evidence of meeting bachelor's degree learning outcomes in the above discipline areas. The English competency requirement of local applicants with international qualifications is: Academic IELTS: 6.5 overall with a writing score of 6.0
  • Or TOEFL: newspaper established: 550-583 complete with TWE of 4.5, internet based: 79-93 entire with a writing score of 21
  • Or AE5: Pass
  • Or PTE: 58-64
  • Or CAE: 176-184.
