Dutch (teacher training)

This two-year educational Master's programme trains you to become a fully qualified teacher of the Dutch language. In the didactic modules of the first year, you will be introduced into all aspects of the teaching profession. In addition, you will take courses of the Master's programme Dutch Studies. You will choose one out of four specializations: Linguistics, Linguistic Competence, Historic Literature, or Modern Literature. You will pay attention to the latest developments in education and the developments in the teaching profession. During an extended internship on a secondary school, you will teach Dutch. In addition, you will participate in the new educational structures of the school of higher general secondary education and of pre-university higher education. During your second year, you will have a temporary appointment at a school for higher education. You will also take courses and perform group assignments. After completing this programme, you will receive a teaching degree in the Dutch language and a Master's degree in Dutch linguistics and literature.
