Description

Our Department of Economics provides a four-year undergraduate program. The leading courses incorporated in our undergraduate curriculum are general economics, macroeconomics, microeconomics, international economics, labor economics, econometrics and history of economic thoughts. The entire program, within which the medium of instruction is English, is dedicated to providing the students with a comprehensive understanding of economic theories and to furnishing them with a new perspective thanks to which they would be able to interpret the mode of interpretation of the economies in general terms.

In the first year of four-year undergraduate program, the courses are mainly focused on how the problem of the allocation of scarce resources arises within social life and what the basic principles of production-consumption maximization are. During the second year, intra-business production structure, macro-level economic analysis and parametric linkage among these are taught by means of microeconomics, macroeconomics and econometrics courses.

Third and fourth years aim to enable the students to interpret economic events, and to comprehend the relationship between technology and economic growth, the structure of economic developments and the impact of international relations on domestic economies. Elective courses are devoted to helping the student do researches in their own fields of interest, study independently and improve their ability of interpretation.
