Yasar University Graduate School of Social Sciences, conscious of this notion, aims to increase the qualified human resources of our nation.
The chief outcome of recent economic studies is to make the economics graduates recognize the need for modern methods in econometrics, operation research and other methods of economic inquires. The discussion which includes algebra or calculus has been developed through this graduate study. The graduate programs are designed to provide students theoretical foundation with the modern tools and techniques to understand the current economic issues and forecast about future developments, such as inflation rate, economic growth and development, economic integration, globalization and economic crisis that effect almost every sections of the economy. The department of Economics aims to equip its graduate students with knowledge, insight to understand and analyze the main economic issues such as problems in production, distribution of income, and use of resource can be analyzed in detail.
The graduate program in thought in English or Turkish and this graduate program can be completed with thesis and non-thesis. The students are required to complete five courses and two elective courses and in total at least 21 credit hours for the masters with thesis program. In addition, the students must submit a graduate thesis which constitutes to 9 credit hours. The students are required to complete five main courses and five elective courses and in total at least 30 credit hours for the non- thesis program. In addition, the student must prepare and submit a final project.

Graduation Requirements
The track with thesis includes 3 compulsory courses, 4 elective courses, a seminar course and the thesis. The degree is awarded upon the successful completion of 120 ECTS worth of coursework including the thesis with a Cummulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of not less than 2.70/4.00.
Undergraduate students enrolled at Yasar University are eligible for scholarships based on their academic performance. Any student, who has completed the first academic year and achieved a grade point average of above 2.30 out of 4.00, will be eligible to apply for an academic scholarship. Within the quota determined, scholarships for the following academic year, will be awarded on a 100%, 50% and 25% basis. The scholarship will continue as long as the students grades are maintained.
Sports Scholarship:
Yasar University offers Sports Scholarships to successful athletes playing in National teams. This year, scholarships of 100%, 50% and 25% will be offered to athletes in below fields: Tennis, Table Tennis, Archery, Athletics, Chess, Fencing, Gymnastics, Swimming and Triathlon Applications for Sports Scholarship are taken during May.
Turkish Government Scholarships:
Some international students may also be eligible for scholarships sponsored by the Turkish government.
