The Graduate Diploma in Education (Early Childhood) is specially made for people who are interested in being a four-year trained early childhood educator, or who would like to upgrade out of a postsecondary instruction qualification. This twelve months fulltime (or part time equivalent) class provides students with an early childhood teaching qualification to work with kids from birth to five years. Entry into the course is via an undergraduate degree in any discipline, including a three-year teaching qualification. The course covers key regions of early childhood education and care from theory, and principles to practices that best support children's learning and development from birth to five years old. The course consists of professional knowledge in preschool and baby and toddler preferences.
