How are you assessed?
Two modules ("What is Education?" and "Introduction to Research Methods") are assessed by written examination. The two optional modules are assessed by coursework. The dissertation is assessed by a combination of written examination (50%) and a 12,000 word dissertation report (50%).
Attendance
The core module "What is Education?" is taught face-to-face as a two-week intensive programme in Central London in December 2012. "Introduction to Research Methods" is taught via distance learning.
The optional modules are taught in a variety of modes including mixed mode, intensive short-courses, face-to-face and distance learning. Students may select modules that suit their preferred mode of study and circumstances.
