This system provides students with an ability to show all learning areas of the program, along with Religious Education (if desired); the strong integration of practice and theory; training that's contemporary; professional reflection on training; exposure into emerging learning technology; attainment of all government and employer requirements; and also (if necessary) formal registration demands. In addition, it offers certification to teach Religious Education in a Catholic school or requirements to show at a Catholic school (if that option is chosen ).

Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia and the New South Wales Education Standards Authority (NESA)

  • NSW - Candidates can be viewed for a place in a teaching level when they meet certain requirements in either A) or B) below. A) School leavers who have three Band 5s at the HSC, one which must be English (or equivalent for IB). Please note ESL English won't count toward the required bunch 5 English criteria. B) school-leavers: ATAR of all 70 (Indicative only). Must have now been obtained within the last five years. Post School Leaver/Mature Age Applicants: Additional University Studies - Notre Dame will consider applicants that have successfully completed a minimum four components in just a Bachelor's Degree from another University
  • or Successful conclusion of an Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) Diploma level qualification or higher in a suitable field from the recognised Registered Training Organisation (RTO)
  • Or Special Tertiary Admissions Test (STAT) - This option is only designed for applicants that are over twenty years of age as at 1 March in the year of entrance. A score of 150 for the multiple Choice component and also the Written English component is required. STAT results are valid for five decades
  • Or Successful conclusion of the Notre-dame Tertiary Pathway Program. Applicants using a few of those entrance requirements listed in B) above is likely to be considered for a place in a teaching level, however evolution into year two of the level is dependent on the successful completion of eight classes (units) at the first year of this degree.
