The Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) / Bachelor of Computer Science unites technical expertise in a engineering field of your choice with skills in applications development. Total core components in your very first year to assist in selecting classes in engineering and computer science. Obtain theoretical and technical engineering knowledge from participating in workshops and industry projects to organize for functions in your selected field across a range of businesses. Explore contemporary methods to application development between mobile devices and systems that are on-line, with an emphasis on the design and implementation of effective human-computer interfaces. Develop skills in a range of programming languages, for example C++, C#, Objective C and Java to complement your own engineering knowledge and prepare one for a range of creative and technical livelihood. Employ your learning into a professionally focused, multi disciplinary endeavor during your final year of analysis. Undertake a minimum of 1-2 weeks of relevant experience.

Graduates are entitled to apply for graduate membership of the Institution of Engineers Australia.

  • Year 12 or equivalent
  • VCE prerequisites: Units 3 and 4: the absolute minimum study score of 25 in English (or equivalent) or 30 in English (EAL)
  • And Units 4 and 3: the absolute minimum study score of 20 in Mathematical Methods. Supplemental performance criteria and prerequisite requirements can also apply. English language requirements - satisfactory conclusion of one of the following: Swinburne's English for Academic Purposes (EAP 5 high level degree ) with overall 65 percent, all of skills 65 percent
  • Minimum IELTS overall group of 6.0 (Academic Module) with no individual band below 6.0
  • TOEFL iBT (internet-based) minimum score of 75 having a reading band no less than 18 and writing band no less than 20
  • Pearson (PTE) minimum score of 50 (no communicative skills significantly less than 50)
  • Any equal assessment of English language proficiency. Notice: A prerequisite for all lessons, the Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE Academic) can currently be done online campus in Hawthorn.
