Beschreibung

This study programme is offered in the Euregional stream, which means it is taught in a mix of Dutch, German and English.

Mechanical Engineering involves the building of machines and equipment. Right from the design and construction phases you will need to take the functions, the reliability and relevant safety aspects into account. And, of course, ease of use and manufacturing costs are also points for attention. This is why a course in mechanical engineering offers you a broad basis so that all aspects of this profession are covered.

An important part of the profession is technical design. For this, precise knowledge of certain processes is required. In addition, you will also gain some experience of the costing side of mechanical engineering. You will also learn how products can be manufactured efficiently. In working life there is a large demand for innovative mechanical engineers. This is why special attention is paid to this on the course. In designing machines, it is also important that the relationship between man and machine is taken into account. A well-thought out design is also something that can improve a machine. So overall, designing a machine which will work properly and doing so quickly and efficiently requires a wide range of skills and knowledge. But as different as the subjects may be, the building of products and machines is and will remain at the heart of the course of study.
