Engineering (Chemical)

Study mode:On campus Study type:Full-time Languages: English

StudyQA ranking:3534 Duration:4 years

The chemical engineering field is mostly focused on the use of knowledge of how materials and chemicals socialize, or can be altered somehow to a more useful form, as a portion of a processing, production or refining process.Chemical engineers work in a large range of domain names out of mineral processing, mining, and petroleum and petrol throughout to businesses associated with clothing, packaging, food, fertilisers, pharmaceuticals and several other manufacturing and biological processes. The program focuses on the development of knowledge and techniques related to professional engineering training and along side a sound theoretical base, includes strong aspects of technical problem solvingteam work and job development. Consequently, graduates will get strong analytical skills, and have the capability to lead complex projects in addition to having multiple technical and technical skill competencies. The class provides a sound basis in mechanics, math, and the principles of engineering design at the first couple of decades of study, along with core areas of engineering science including chemistry and materials science, fluid mechanics, process systems and thermodynamics. At the last couple of decades of analysis, a range of more specialist chemical engineering topics are covered including process design, operations and control, to organize students to enter their preferred career with relevant expertise and skills. The first year of this class includes a pair of eight components which can be shared across all engineering honours classes. This enables students the chance to develop a better understanding of the a variety of engineering disciplines on offer and the flexibility, if desired, to switch into some other engineering discipline/course without penalty after the first period of analysis.

University entry requirements apply. All applicants are required to have Mathematics: Procedures ATAR, together with equivalents considered, and Physics ATAR or Engineering Studies ATAR, together using equivalents thought of, and Chemistry ATAR, together using equivalents considered. It is desirable that candidates have Mathematics: Specialist ATAR, together with equivalents considered.
