The Master of Engineering Management, Master of Business Administration combines the business specialist skills available by the Master of Business Administration with the specialist skills within an engineering management Application. The course prepares graduates for the challenges of a managerial position through a range of subjects including strategic asset management planning, commercial research and development processes, economic viability, new product development and commercialisation. Students develop effective stakeholder involvement practices, and tackle an market research endeavor in engineering management. This system allows students to complete the Master of Engineering Management and Master of Business Administration within a couple of years of full-time study. This course is for students that have an undergraduate degree in engineering and that want to develop both their engineering and management skills through a mix of two postgraduate awards.
Units undertaken in this course may count towards students' ongoing professional development (CPD) requirements with Engineers Australia or their important professional measuring body.
- Either (a) A 4 year undergraduate degree in technology, or in a cognate field
- or perhaps a three year undergraduate degree in technology
- Or (b) at a cognate discipline, plus at least 2 decades of documented relevant work experience
- Or (c) demonstrated relevant prior learning and/or appropriate industry experience deemed comparable to items a. or b. above.
