You may work with surface mines or in subterranean exploration. We'll educate you on how to mine at a sustainable and safe way and teach one of that the social and political aspects which will impact your livelihood. You'll also learn communication and problem that are critical in the business. Study fields include mineral deposition processing and evaluation, subterranean manufacturing systems, mine services and power, surface mining operations and mine environment and safety. Perhaps you'll establish your career in design, preparation or operations or you may love to be boss. Opportunities exist for you in government and private organisations, mining companies and consulting firms. When you graduate from this Honours level, you'll be eligible for admission to Engineers Australia under the professional tech (full member) class ) We are pleased to supply a business Placement Program, providing the ability for our students to obtain valuable and relevant workplace experience. Students take part in a yearlong professional development application and also receive as much as 26 weeks positioning and up to $15,000 industry scholarship.   • Year 12 - Prerequisites Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 20 in virtually any Language
  • Components 3 and 4: a study score of at least 20 in just one among Maths: Mathematical procedures or Immunology: Specialist Mathematics
  • ATAR. Non Year 12 - Past degree studies with consequences at a pass grade, for example some'only subjects of analysis', or effective completion of a postsecondary preparatory program such as the Federation University Foundation Access Studies Program (FAST)
  • Successful completion of a suitable VET qualification at Certificate III level or greater
  • Applicants that haven't completed secondary education, or undertaken any TAFE or university documents includes an individual statement outlining all pertinent experience to fortify their application.
