Engineering Technology (Civil Engineering)

The specialised education attained in this application will make it possible for one to get employment at the mid degree to advanced positions in the industry. It would also offer opportunities with career development into the managerial degrees. Civil Engineers are responsible for its design and structure of most types of structures involving single to multistoried buildings, roads, dams, bridges, pipelines, towers, harbours, airports and railways. Civil engineers also plandesign and examine the infrastructure associated with transport, gas supply, water supply and sewerage systems. Like a Civil Engineering graduate, you may have developed technical advanced skills along with the knowledge and appreciation of the environment, sustainable development, social and political elements that impact upon the work of the civic scientist. Graduates may be employed with private advisors, contracting organizations, or by national, local and state government organisations. There are considerable opportunities for job in Australia, as well as in South East Asia and throughout the rest of the world.

Successful completion of a recognised 3 or 4 year Engineering bachelor degree from the relevant specialisation (major field) with charge average, awarded by an Australian university, or a recognised overseas equivalent.
