Course Content

Available without Honours over 2 years or with Honours over 3 years. Graduates on the English Law course will take all the subjects necessary for professional accreditation with the Law Society . Their curriculum will be a modified version of the standard one outlined below:

Law of Contract, Criminal Law, Law of Tort, Legal Methods and Systems, Law and Society and Constitutional Law in Level 1 (first year). In Level 2 students study EC Law, Administrative Law, Evidence, Law of Equity and Trusts, Property.

Options offered on successful completion of Levels 1 and 2 include a range of modules in Accounting, Business, Commercial Law, Company Law, Investor Protection and Business Law, Criminology, Evidence, Forensic Medicine and Science, a range of modules in Property, Conveyancing and Planning, a range of modules including Family Law, Gender and the Law, Heritage and the Law, Nationality and Immigration, Race Relations and Charity Law.

Requirements

Graduate entry accelerated degrees:

Graduates with an appropriate first degree (2.1 Honours degree or Ordinary degree with 60% or higher in all level 3 modules) can have their period of study reduced to two years.
