English teaching

This program offers language teacher education in learning and teaching English as a Second/Additional Language. It aims to prepare prospective teachers of English as a 2nd Language for their future career and to assist current TESOL teachers in extending their professional understanding. Theme contents cover theoretical facets of terminology, language teaching, language acquisition and the practical uses of these in speech teaching. The system prepares teachers for the global career within the diverse worldwide world.

• Completion of an Australian Qualifications Framework Level 7 Bachelor degree or equivalent in education, language, linguistics, applied linguistics or language related areas at an approved institution
• or Recognised qualification in teacher instruction
• or hold an undergraduate degree, plus an certificate in TESOL plus the very least five years' experience in teaching English.
