The Master of Environmental Law at the University of Newcastle is designed to equip valid and non-legal professionals with a deeper comprehension of Environmental Law, through a unique, professionally focused and interdisciplinary program. Students will learn from distinguished and experienced professors from Australia and abroad in the areas of Law, Environmental and Life Sciences, Business and Architecture and Built Environment. This could be the sole legal postgraduate program in Australia that offers students the opportunity to receive certification by the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) or the United Nations Institute for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNISDR).
This is the only legal postgraduate application in Australia that offers students the chance to attain certification by the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) and also the un Institute for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNISDR).
- AQF Level 8 Honours Bachelor Degree in a related field such as law, environmental science, environmental resource management, environmental planning, architecture, engineering and studying, or physical and human geography
- Or AQF Grade 8 Graduate Certificate or Graduate Diploma in a related field such as law, environmental science, environmental resource management, environmental planning, architecture, engineering and studying, or physical and human geography
- Or AQF level 7 Bachelor Degree in an associated field law, environmental science, environmental resource management, environmental planning, architecture, engineering and studying, or physical and human geography, and have a minumum of 12 months relevant work experience
- Or AQF Level 7 Bachelor Degree in perhaps not in a related area and have at least two years' relevant work experience
- Or at least seven years relevant work experiences, which two years should've already been in a management position in law, environmental science, environmental resource management, environmental planning, architecture, engineering and studying, or physical and human geography, such as instance as: a job manager in a environmental field
- A professional with experience in mentoring, training or overseeing the standard of professional work
- Or as a manager or adviser employed in a field related to the setting.
