Description

The goal of the European Economic Studies Programme is to prepare students for the requirements of the professional world, which result from globalisation and the European integration process; to develop specialists competent in economics of high qualification who could join European and international companies and other organizations. The programme focuses on economic topics. In addition, the course of studies includes a choice from three foreign languages.

The Bachelor's programme aims at providing students with core competencies in Economics, i.e. Macroeconomics, Microeconomics, Econometrics etc. After the Bachelor's programme students will have enjoyed a high-level introduction to Economics and its related disciplines. Moreover, they should be fluent in the two foreign languages (English and a chosen one from French, German and Spanish). The business and economics-related contents of the language courses make the language competencies highly applicable.

The European Economic Studies Programme offers students a comprehensive coverage and critical analysis of the process of European economic integration. Courses are designed to provide students with a deep knowledge and thorough understanding of EU policies and the European economy in general.

Competencies:

  • Competence to analyze the EU economic environment;
  • Competence to prognosticate changes in domestic and international economics.
  • Competence to evaluate cultural differences of countries‘ economic systems and apply corresponding decisions;
  • Competence to make decisions relating to the changing economic situation;
  • Competence to assess the economic environment changes and their influence on the decisions of the country;
  • Competence to communicate in European ( English/French/German/ Spanish) languages.

Career Opportunities

Graduates of European Economic Studies Programme will be able to:

  • continue studies in Economics master programmes, as well as in other master programmes of social sciences area;
  • work in the European, international and national public sectors;
  • work in European business and in the non-profit sector;
  • in EU (especialy Germany, France, Spain) and other international organization institutions and representative offices.
