This program aims to provide the skills and knowledge to create and implement exercise programs for individuals who have disease that is known. Theory and practice are integrated through supervised clinical encounter and clinically related studies. Students will establish strong medical and specialist skills to examine and prescribe exercise to estimate and enhance health and function after trauma or chronic illness.
? The Master of Exercise Physiology is accredited at the level of exercise physiology by Exercise and Sports Science, Australia (ESSA). Graduates of the Master of Exercise Physiology may apply for membership together with ESSA. Membership may be susceptible to additional or continuing requirements beyond finishing the amount. Please contact the relevant body for details.
- Australian Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science (or its equivalent) with a GPA of 5.5 out of 7 completed within the last five years
- Applicants who completed their Bachelor degree more than five decades ago could still be eligible on the basis of postgraduate study or appropriate work experience
- The job degree must have the vital requirements studies in Anatomy and Physiology, Exercise Physiology, Biomechanics, Exercise Psychology, and Motor Control and Learning
- Only applicants entitled to accreditation by Exercise and Sports Science Australia (ESSA) within a fitness scientist can be admitted into the class
- NB: prep minimal requirements does not guarantee an offer of a place
- Entry into all La Trobe classes is based on competitive selection and there might be limited places available.
