This qualification describes the knowledge and skills for food processing workers employed from these sectors:grain processing (including stock feed, animal feeds, milling wheat, barley, oats and flour milling) baking (including large scale production of cakes, pastry, bread, and biscuits and plant dried )retail bakingbeverages (including juices, soft drinks, cordials, aerated and waters, energy drinks and other drinks that are modified, such as antioxidant and vitamin beveragesincluding coffee, tea and ice hockey ) confectionery dairy processing fruit and vegetables supermarket products and supplies (including sodas, jams, spreads, sauces, dressings, condiments, spices, olive fats and oils and pasta)poultry.This qualification was created for production related roles that require use of industry certain skills and knowledge across a selection of procedures, including some technical and problem solving ability. It caters for multi-skilled outcomes and roles which include team leader acts within the manufacturing environment. All work has to be performed to comply with workplace procedures, in accordance with State/Territory food safety, work safe practices and environmental codes, regulations and legislation that affect the workplace.No occupational licensing, legislative or certificate requirements apply to the qualification during that time of book.
