This qualification explains the skills and knowledge for food processing workers used in the following industries:grain processing (such as stock feed, animal feeds, milling wheat, barley, oats and flour milling) baking (including large scale production of cakes, pastry, bread, biscuits and plant baking)retail bakingbeverages (including juices, carbonated drinks, cordials, aerated but still waters, energy drinks as well as other modified beverages, such as antioxidant and vitamin beverages, coffee, tea and ice) confectionery dairy processing fruit and vegetables grocery store products and provides (including sodas, jams, spreads, sauces, dressings, condiments, spices, olive oils and fats and wheat )poultry.This qualification is designed for production-related roles that require use of industry particular skills and knowledge across a range of processes, including some technical and problem solving ability. It caters for multi-skilled outcomes and roles which include team leader purposes within the manufacturing environment. All work must be completed to comply with workplace procedures, in accord with State/Territory food safety, job health and safety and environmental principles, laws and regulations that apply to the workplace.No occupational licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to the qualification at time of publication.
