Further flexibility is also available - this programme is offered on both a full-time and part-time basis. In addition single modules may also be taken for CPD purposes.

This course will develop your understanding of the contrasting approaches to legal issues. Further it will develop your analytical and theoretical skills through the study of law in its social, economic and political context, and also your capacity to conduct legal research, to analyse critically arguments, theories, concepts and evidence, and to communicate the fruits of such research and analysis clearly, literately and concisely.

This course is studied over one year on a full-time basis. You will learn through a combination of lectures, tutorials, LLM specialist seminars and independent study.

* One *Masters level modules offered within The Business School

Trimester 2

* Disability, Mental Health Rights and the Law
* Law and the Elderly
* One *Masters level modules offered within The Business School

Trimester 3

* Dissertation

*Non-law entrants must study Legal Skills and Research Methods in trimester 1, in place of a Business School Masters level module.

The entry requirement for this course is a UK Honours degree at 2:2 or above. We look for applicants to have a background in any discipline in order to be eligible for the programme; however, it is desirable to have a degree with a substantial Law component. If an applicant has not previously studies law, they will be required to undertake the Legal Skills and Research module as a compulsory part of their programme.We may also consider lesser qualifications if you have sufficient relevant work experience within the industry. If English is not your first language, it is usually required that you sit an English language test in order to gain entry onto our postgraduate programmes. This course requires a higher IELTS 6.5 with no individual component score of less than 6.0 or equivalent. English Language Requirements IELTS band: 6.5 TOEFL iBT® test: 75 IMPORTANT NOTE: Since April 2014 the ETS tests (including TOEFL and TOEIC) are no longer accepted for Tier 4 visa applications to the United Kingdom. The university might still accept these tests to admit you to the university, but if you require a Tier 4 visa to enter the UK and begin your degree programme, these tests will not be sufficient to obtain your Visa.
