Health Data Science (HDS) is the science and craft of generating data-driven solutions through understanding of complex real-world health problems, employing critical thinking and analytics to bring knowledge from big data. HDS is a emergent field, originating at the intersection of biostatistics, computer science, and wellness. The Graduate Certificate in Health Data Science covers the first area of the HDS pipeline concerned with understanding of health context, statistical foundations, principles of programming, and data wrangling and direction. Participants can embark on additional research in the Graduate Diploma or Master of Health Data Science.
