Students examine how such ailments impact biomechanics, both the nervous system and health generally. The focus is on manual treatments such as spinal adjustments as well as different joint and soft-tissue manipulation. Anatomy, physiology and pathology courses underpin the clinical research studies of physical examination, differential diagnosis for the physician and clinical practicum. You begins work-integrated learning instantly, with clinical observations in the RMIT Health Sciences Clinic. From year four students do patient-care duties with supervision from a registered professional. You'll also have the opportunity to give chiropractic services to people who are financially or socially deprived through RMIT's venture with Sacred Heart Mission, Hands on Health Australia along with also The Wellington community centre.
This program is accredited by the Council on Chiropractic Education Australasia for the Chiropractic Board of Australia.
