A holistic kind of medicine, Western herbal medicine is based from Anglo-American and European traditional healing philosophies and clinics. It targets the whole person and optimises health, as opposed to focussing on the signs and the disorder. Current interest in herbal medicine has increased and the curative usage of herbal medicine is presently being supported by scientific research.
The Australian Natural Therapists Association (ANTA), National Herbalists Association of Australia (NHAA). Students might also be eligible to join: Australasian Integrative Medicine Association (AIMA) and Australian Traditional Medicine Society (ATMS).
