This qualification reflects the function of workers locally and/or residential setting who follow an individualised want to present person-centred support to individuals who might require support as a result of aging, disability or some other reason. Work involves using discretion and judgement in relation to individual support as well as accepting responsibility to get outputs.Workers have a selection of factual, theoretical and technical knowledge, as well as some theoretical knowledge about their concepts and techniques required to offer person-centred support.To accomplish that qualification, the candidate should have completed at least 120 hours of work as detailed in the Assessment Prerequisites of the components of competency.No licensing, legislative, regulatory or certification requirements affect this qualification during publication.
