Individual Support

This qualification reflects the function of workers in the community and/or residential surroundings that follow an individualised want to give person-centred support to folks who might require support because of ageing, disability or some other reason. Work involves using discretion and judgement with regard to individual support as well as taking responsibility for own outputs.Workers have a selection of factual, theoretical and technical knowledge, as well as some theoretical understanding about their concepts and methods required to supply person-centred support.To achieve this qualification, the candidate must have completed at least 120 hours of work as detailed in the Assessment Requirements of these components of competency.No licensing, legislative, regulatory or certification requirements affect this qualification at the time of publication.
