This qualification reflects the role of workers in the community and/or residential setting who follow an individualised plan to give person-centred support to folks who may require support because of ageing, disability or some other reason. Work involves using discretion and judgement with regard to human support in addition to taking responsibility to get outputs.Workers have a selection of factual, technical and procedural knowledge, in addition to some theoretical knowledge of their concepts and methods required to offer person-centred support.To accomplish that qualification, the candidate should have completed at least 120 hours of work as detailed in the Assessment Requirements of their components of competency.No licensing, legislative, regulatory or certification requirements affect the qualification at the time of book.
