International Business

This system develops an comprehension of worldwide business and the international market, and the position of managers within this context. It provides pupils with the ability to strengthen and enhance their conceptual thinking and theoretical comprehension of the discipline, and boost their capacity for critical reflection. Students will learn more about the macro and micro elements of worldwide enterprise environments, examining the functional strategies of transnational corporations across a range of areas including human and marketing resource management. The course eases entrance into a range of challenging and rewarding careers in international company. Graduates will be equipped for roles in organisations with a global outlook, including joint ventures, import and export companies, and other companies engaged in international commerce.

Graduates of the Master of International Business may apply for membership with the Institute of Managers and Leaders (IML). Membership might be susceptible to additional or ongoing conditions beyond completion of the degree. Please contact the relevant professional body such as details.

An Australian Bachelor's degree in any discipline or an approved equivalent qualification, Entry may be granted to applicants with no undergraduate degree but with five or even more years of work experience, NB: Meeting minimum prerequisites will not guarantee an offer of a place. Entrance in to most of La Trobe courses relies on competitive selection and there may be limited places available.
