This programme is unique in its focus, which addresses the development of both academic and professional competences. It is a demanding course for law graduates or graduates with a background in law.
The one-year programme addresses the practical effects of the co-existence of business law at different levels, e.g. of the regional trade law of the European Union with the global or near-global trade law of the World Trade Organization, as well as with national law in this field. The programme is unique in this clearly defined focus on the interaction of international, European and national law. Also, without neglecting academic levels, the department pays special attention to professional applications, particularly through its assignments and teaching methods. The programme is intended for students who already are, or wish to become, international legal practitioners in internationally operating law firms, courts of law, companies or organisations, or in national governments. For those interested, the programme may serve to prepare for a PhD.
