This interdisciplinary course introduces students to the theory and practice of development on a global level and lets them look at a moral approach that considers social, cultural and environmental elements. Students cover important issues such as the issues of gender, poverty and empowerment, the politics and history of developmental theory and also learn how to design and evaluate a international project. Graduates may work in the public development business, for multi national organisations or being a project manager or consultant for companies like the Australian Red Cross or World Vision.

Applicants must have an undergraduate degree or equivalent as approved by the University.
