This program provides students with a profound comprehension of development issues across the Earth, focusing on vulnerable communities. Students will undergo a range of political, social and financial problems such as sex and health inequalities, ecological and human rights issues within both developed and developing countries. Students will develop specialised abilities to help cities, communities and countries adjust to the complex and shifting environment within an era of globalisation: professional ethics; societal and political theory; training; Micro Finance; advocacy; participatory approaches. Students will build professional capacities that are crucial for designing, implementing, monitoring and evaluating development projects. The program is provided on campus and on the internet. All core courses and a few electives are offered on line.
An Australian undergraduate level or its equivalent. Applicants with significant work experience may also be viewed. Applicants applying for entry based on work experience must include with their application a CV and direct candidate announcement detailing their experience.
