Year 1: Introduction to the retail environment that explain the diverse nature of retailing as a service. This is supported by the business modules Economies, Markets and Enterprise and Managerial Finance.
Year 2: The module Retail Logistics and Store Operations analyses retail operations, the functions and techniques of retailing with a focus on store management. A supervised work placement provides structured practical work experience in the retail sector.
Year 3: International Retail Buying and Merchandising focuses on retail management of the buying function, operational developments and issues.
Year 4: An Honours dissertation in your specialist area combined with modules in Retail Brand Strategy, Changing Perspectives on Marketing Management and Retailing in an International Context, drawing from operations associated with the expansion of retail stores within foreign markets.
Exchange: Exchange opportunities exist with partner insititutions overseas.
Language: Language modules are available to study during part of the programme.
