Language and culture offers you tuition in Mandarin Chinese, using the experience of language learning as a gateway to the broader study of history, politics, culture, traditions, customs and national identities. You will gain competency in both language and cultural knowledge and will be encouraged to acquire a cross-cultural awareness preparing you for the possibility of life or study abroad.
Consider Language and Culture (Mandarin Chinese) studies as a major or add it to your studies in another degree as a minor or elective. Even just one or two semesters of language and cultural studies can provide you with basic communication skills. A language can help you with your chosen career path whether you're studying arts, business, sciences, engineering or education.
