USQ’s Bachelor of Business is designed to equip you with the knowledge required for your career in business, while also developing the skills essential to thrive in a dynamic and increasingly technology-driven work environment. The degree effectively combines theoretical study with practical applications and experience, culminating in the opportunity in your final year to complete a course in Work Integrated Learning where you’ll work with an organisation to complete a project.
In addition to your chosen specialisation of Marketing, you can choose to study another area in-depth with a second major, or broaden your knowledge with a combination of minors and electives. These can be chosen from a wide range of business and commerce-related courses.
Why Marketing?
Marketing is an essential part of any business operation. It encompasses the steps taken to position your product or services into the hands of potential customers. As such, it can focus the energy and resources of an organisation to their best potential for maximum gain in the marketplace.
The marketing specialisation provides you with opportunities to learn relevant marketing theories and principles in a real-world context through the use of case studies and applied activities. As a result, you will be well-equipped to work as a practising marketer in a range of both product and service industries and you will have an appreciation for the global, sustainable and ethical contextualisation of both marketing strategies and practices.
