All La Trobe University Bachelor of Laws and Juris Doctor law Classes include the Matters required by the Victorian Legal Admissions Board to qualify for admission to the legal profession in Victoria Being an Australian lawyer. Admission to the legal profession by the Supreme Court of Victoria also needs that the completion of legal training either by a 12-month amount of Supervised Legal Training or by completing an approved practical legal training course (for example, at the Leo Cussen Institute or the school of Law). Nominees for admission to practise must satisfy the Admissions Board which they are a fit and proper person to become admitted to practise.

  • necessary grade average: A grade point average (GPA) of 5.5 or above.
  • Option entrance: An Australian Bachelor's degree in any discipline or approved equivalent qualification with a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 5 to a 7 point scale and a personal statement. The personal statement should address grounds trying to study law, relevant employment experience, relevant skills to allow the student to study law and evidence of contribution to the community.
