Western's courses are a exceptional alternative to more traditional law schools, together with community law activities that give students real world experience. This is just one example of how law students gain experience through discussion. As 2010, the University has operated the Parramatta Community Justice Clinic, providing a much-needed service, while giving students a special learning option.

• Qualification for admission to the Bachelor of Laws (Non-Graduate Entry) is based upon a completed Australian Year 12 qualification or equivalent.
  Assumed knowledge: any two units of HSC English
• Recommended studies: HSC English equivalent or standard.
