The Master of Local Government provides professionals, leaders and managers in municipality with a complex body of knowledge and expertise to reflect badly on theory and practice. This lets them apply this knowledge inside their own functions in strategic thinking, planning and forming neighborhood communities. The course provides graduates with an evidence-based learning approach to build a superior degree of management and influence in their local government workplace. The course, which is informed by the research and capacity-building tasks of the UTS Centre for Local Government, provides an interdisciplinary program together with learning and teaching tasks ranging across and beyond the faculty. An instruction system is developed to coordinate with the requirements of each participant's individual requirements, and themes can be studied through intensive block release or in some cases through internet delivery mode.
- UTS recognised bachelor degree, or equivalent or higher qualification, or submitted other evidence that shows potential to pursue graduate studies. Additionally, applicants need to provide: an individual announcement (max. 300 words) Changing their reasons for needing to tackle this application
- A CV articulating municipality business related work with at the least five years' experience. Applicants who don't possess such qualifications must possess 5 years' relevant professional experience and demonstrate evidence of fulfilling mentor degree learning outcomes in the above mentioned field regions. Qualifications for entry doesn't guarantee offer of a place.
