Socioeconomic and environmental transformation processes are being developed at local levels, with strong influence on key aspects like employment or business dynamics. The local scale has become a preferential field of action in the search for more effective public policies and actions aimed at managing and controlling such processes, which largely affect people´s quality of life. Training qualified professionals able to design and soundly apply this type of strategies for socioeconomic development is the goal of this master course.
On the one hand, the master (60 ECTS) aims to train professionals that can become a strategic resource for socioeconomic development locally (Local Development and Employment Agents); on the other, it offers broad information on concepts, instruments, and skills for the effective management of change, as well as the design and application of socioeconomic development strategies, with special attention to employment and entrepreneurship.

The master is organised by the Institut Universitari de Desenvolupament Local of Valencia University. Lecturers also come from the Servei Valencià d´Ocupació i Formació (SERVEF) and the Associació d´Agents de Desenvolupament Local i Promoció Socioeconòmica de la Comunitat Valenciana (ADLYPSE).

- Academic records.It is addressed to: * · Graduates in social science, humanities, legal science, environmental sciences, tourist studies and in other related disciplines, willing to become local development professionals. * · Active professionals willing to broaden their knowledge with concepts and instruments, and to improve their skills in the use of new techniques and methodologies with a view to commissioning/articulating local development strategies. * · Public managers directly or indirectly related with the possibility of designing and implementing such development strategies at a local level, with the decisive yet not exclusive participation of public institutions.
