Program requirements for the Management with Arts degree at the International Business School (IBS) Budapest typically include a combination of academic prerequisites, language proficiency, application materials, and possibly entrance assessments. Applicants are generally expected to have completed secondary education or an equivalent qualification that enables university-level study. While specific GPA or grade point average requirements may not be publicly specified, competitive candidates usually demonstrate strong academic performance in their previous education.
Proficiency in English is essential for admission, and applicants may need to provide evidence through standardized tests such as TOEFL or IELTS unless they have completed previous education in English medium or in a country where English is the official language. The TOEFL iBT score requirement may range around 80-90 points, and IELTS band scores around 6.0-6.5, though exact thresholds can vary from year to year.
Application documents typically include a completed application form, academic transcripts, a motivation letter explaining the applicant's interest and career goals, and a curriculum vitae (CV) or resume showcasing relevant experiences. Some programs might also require letters of recommendation from teachers or mentors who can attest to the applicant's readiness for university-level study.
Additionally, applicants may be asked to participate in an interview process, which can be conducted online or in person, to assess motivation, communication skills, and suitability for the program. Portfolio submission is generally not mandatory for management programs unless the candidate has a background in arts or creative disciplines, in which case examples of creative work might strengthen the application.
It is advised to review the specific admission guidelines published annually by IBS Budapest, as requirements may be updated or slightly vary depending on the applicant’s country of origin or educational background. International students should also verify visa and residence permit requirements in accordance with Hungarian immigration policies, ensuring they meet all legal prerequisites for enrollment.
In summary, the program expects prospective students to demonstrate academic competence, proficiency in English, motivation for management and arts integration, and the capacity to contribute to the diverse student body. Meeting these requirements successfully can prepare applicants for the academic challenges and professional opportunities offered by the Management with Arts program at IBS Budapest, fostering a multidisciplinary perspective that combines business acumen with creative understanding.
