The Master's Degree Program in Medical Informatics at Deggendorf Institute of Technology offers a comprehensive and practice-oriented education designed to prepare students for the evolving demands of the healthcare and information technology sectors. Educational organisation
The Master's programme Medical Informatics comprises three theoretical semesters and is concluded with a Master's thesis. All lectures are held in English, therefore a sound understanding of English is an essential prerequisite. Studies must be taken up in a winter semester. Upon successful completion, the degree "Master of Arts" is awarded.Study abroad unit(s)

Course objectives
The Master's programme Medical Informatics is designed to expand the competence of Bachelor's (or equivalent degree) graduates by theoretical knowledge to meet the requirements of research and development tasks used in today's health industry. The programme is offered by the Faculty of Applied Health Sciences.Graduates of this programme will be capable of empirical research and development in the fields of telematics, telemedicine, and eHealth. They will also be well-connected with national and international providers.
The theoretical foundations of this programme give students a chance at a successful career in business or in science.
Language requirements
International applicants do not have to provide proof of German knowledge.The TestDaF can be completed at our university.
German and international applicants must also provide proof of their English skills at the beginning of the first semester: level C1 (TOEFL iBT score 64, TOEIC at least 75% of maximum points, Cambridge Certificate FCE, CAE or CPE).
