The Doctor of Medicine (MD) may be the second of two sequential amounts at Bond University that must be completed in order to be eligible to practise medicine. A Doctor of Medicine is a Masters Extended program, located at level 9 of the Australian Qualification Framework. All students must complete both the Bachelor of Medical Research (BMedSt) and the Doctor of Medicine (MD) to be eligible for enrollment as a medical practitioner in any state or territory in Australia or New Zealand. The physician of Medicine is designed to equip pupils with the knowledge, skills and attributes needed to safely and effectively practise medicine in today's complex healthcare environment. The program is distinguished because of its strong educational focus on case-based education, evidence-based medicine and incorporated clinical practice. Entrance into a Doctor of Medicine (MD) program is only via the Bachelor of Health Studies (BMedSt) program at Bond University. The Bachelor of Medical Research (BMedSt) can be a undergraduate program therefore is open to Year 12 school leavers. The BMedSt can be ready to accept students who have completed an undergraduate curriculum.
