The Master in Microengineering at EPFL is an ideal training towards innovative applications in highly attractive sectors, e.g. portable communication devices, biomedical devices, and watch industry.

The programme offers a unique education, which opens a wide range of career opportunities for young engineers. Students can choose between five study orientations :
- Robotics and Autonomous Systems
- Production Technologies
- Biomedical Microengineering
- Applied Photonics
- Micro- and nanosystems

Total credits of the programme: 90 ECTS, made of:

2 semesters of courses, exercises and projects (total 60 ECTS)
1 semester Master's thesis (30 ECTS)

Anyone holding a Bachelor's degree from a recognized university can apply to the EPFL Masters Programmes. However, admission is competitive. Only candidates with excellent academic records and references have good chances to be accepted.This Masters programme is taught in French. The EPFL recommends students entering the programme to have at least a B2 level of the teaching language (defined by the Common European Framework of Reference for languages scale). A C1 level would allow candidates to follow the courses in good conditions. English Language Requirements IELTS band: 7 TOEFL paper-based test score : 600 TOEFL iBT® test: 100
