The School of Mining Engineering offers a Graduate Certificate in Mining Engineering (local students only) to allow a far more elastic entry manner for applicants that have limited tertiary qualifications. Admission is likely to be considered on an individual basis and will be based on academic credentials and level of experience within the mining industry. Students with four years of applicable accountable industry experience and vocational certificates can also acquire entry to consent based on a portfolio and interview.

Entry to a Graduate Certification will be considered on an individual basis for all people who have relevant mining industry experience (Entry inch ) or for individuals re training from additional technical aspects (Entry 2). Please refer to UNSW handbook for the Entry 1 and 2 details. The Graduate Certificate may be an entrance point for obtaining foundational credentials in Mining Engineering, also for articulating to a Graduate Diploma and a Masters level, with adequate academic performance. A portfolio will be to be provided to support the applying for post graduate coursework study.
