Academic Achievement Award

Effective for students who have entered the MS degree program beginning Fall 2014. The Achievement Award is offered to new Computer Science and Computer Engineering majors entering an M.S. program through either the College of Engineering or the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. Qualified out-of-state and international students are eligible for this award, which will pay $1,500 per semester for three semesters. The three semesters must be used within the first two years of enrollment. The disbursement of the award this handled through the Bursar's Office. The Bursar’s Office is notified to place the $1,500 on the student's account once a student's registration has been reviewed and eligibility is verified. This will occur prior to the deadline for fee payments each semester. This award will pay a portion of the tuition costs when the student is registered appropriately at University of Florida (must be registered for at least 9 credits each semester). There is no separate application for the Achievement Award.

The Achievement Award is renewed on a semester-by-semester basis. Students must maintain satisfactory academic performance (both earning a minimum of a 3.0 grade point average and registration of 9 credits or more) to continue receiving the award.
