This programme combines rigorous academic learning with practical clinical skills, enabling students to develop the knowledge, competencies, and confidence needed to deliver high-quality care to adult patients in a variety of healthcare settings. Throughout the course, students will explore a wide range of subjects including anatomy and physiology, psychology, pharmacology, healthcare ethics, and evidence-based practice, all tailored to adult care. The curriculum emphasizes patient-centred approaches, interprofessional collaboration, and the importance of holistic care that considers the physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing of individuals.

Students will benefit from the university’s strong links with local hospitals, community health services, and other healthcare providers, which facilitate invaluable placements and real-world experience. These clinical placements are integrated into the programme to ensure students gain hands-on practice in managing a diverse range of adult health conditions and emergencies under the supervision of experienced practitioners. The programme also incorporates innovative teaching methods such as simulation, participatory learning, and research projects, fostering critical thinking, problem-solving, and reflective practice skills essential for modern nursing professionals.

The University of Bradford’s Nursing (Adult) programme is committed to developing compassionate, professional, and competent nurses who are equipped to meet the evolving demands of healthcare.
