Nursing at StFX - where more than 80 years of outstanding education in health care has allowed the department to evolve into one of the most respected nursing programs in the entire country. In fact, graduates of the School of Nursing are known around the world for their caring, competency, and commitment to the field. There has always been a high demand for nurses in Canada, and all over the world. There are many career options for graduates, including work in the public and private health care of seniors, with pediatric patients, in research, advisory, government, education and other areas.The program also offers a Co-operative non credit opportunity for third year students to work in Nova Scotia with a RN preceptor.
