Operations Research

The term Operations Research (OR) arose in the 1940's when research was carried out on the design and analysis of mathematical models for military operations. OR has expanded to include economic, marketing, and corporate planning problems. The mathematical disciplines most widely used in OR include mathematical programming, probability and statistics, and computer science. This program also includes courses in economics decision analysis, and accounting, designed to familiarize the student with the business environment.
